How to create & add tags to contacts

Tags group contacts so you can target them — by interest, by stage, by where they came from.

   Tag one contact

   Contacts → open the contact → add tags (comma-separated), or from Chats Inbox → profile → Tags. Remove one there with its ×.

   Tag many at once

   Contacts → tick the contacts — or tick the page and click “Select all … matching” to take everyone your filter found → Add tag → type the tag → OK.

   Tag on import

   Add a tags column to your CSV — several tags in one cell separated by a pipe: vip|diwali.

   Tag automatically

   In Chatbot Flow Builder, an Add tag step tags everyone who reaches that point in a flow.

   Use the tag

   Segments → New segment → Tags. Every broadcast to that segment reaches exactly those contacts.
