Add Quick Reply to WhatsApp Template Message
Quick-reply buttons let a customer answer with one tap — “Yes, interested”, “Call me”, “Not now” — and each tap can start a chatbot flow.
- 1
Open or create a template
WhatsApp Templates → New template (or open an existing one).
- 2
Add the buttons
Under Buttons, click Add button and choose Quick reply. Type the label — up to 25 characters. Add more as needed: WhatsApp shows the first few inline and puts the rest behind “See all options”.
- 3
Mix with link or call buttons if you like
You can add Visit website or Call phone number buttons in the same template. Quick replies are kept together automatically, which is how Meta requires them.
- 4
Submit for approval
Check the phone preview, then Submit for Approval.
- 5
Act on the tap
In Chatbot Flow Builder, start a workflow with the Template reply trigger and pick this template. The button they tapped arrives as {{message.text}} — add a Condition step to send “Yes” to a booking flow and “Not now” to a polite goodbye.
Good to know
- Every label in one template must be different.
- A tap opens the 24-hour window, so your bot or team can reply freely afterwards.
